Queen Iden is another heroine whose sacrifice shaped the Kingdom of Benin. She ruled as queen in the year 1700 AD under Oba Ewuakpe. it is well known that she offered her services as a self sacrifice lamb to ensure her husband’s and kingdom’s overall well being.
